CALLING ALL ARTISTS!!!!

Submissions are now open for Jonathan LeVine Projects’ second-annual “Delusional Art Competition”.

Artists from all backgrounds and styles are encouraged to submit work in all 2D and 3D mediums (excluding video and performance art). 

Up to 40 finalists will be selected for inclusion in a summer group show from August 1 - 25 at Jonathan LeVine Projects.  First-, second-, and third-place prize winners will be announced at the opening in August. Enter for your chance to win a solo exhibition, an online editorial feature in Juxtapoz magazine,  a group exhibition, promotional opportunities, cash prizes, inclusion in an art fair, and more!


**Disclaimer: Any images submitted which exceed the number of projects paid for will not be considered based on the chronological order they were submitted. For example, if you pay for 5 projects to be entered into the competition but upload six images, the last image uploaded will be disqualified.

JURIED PRIZES

1st Place – Solo Exhibition at Jonathan LeVine Projects and online editorial feature in Juxtapoz Magazine (Includes a four-week solo exhibition, a roundtrip flight, and three-nights accommodation in Jersey City)

2nd Place – Participation in a group show at Jonathan LeVine Projects

3rd Place – A week of promotion via Jonathan LeVine Projects social media platforms

PEOPLE'S CHOICE

Voting will be opened up to the general public shortly after entries have closed and 50 finalists will be announced for public voting. The following prizes will be awarded: 

1st Place - $5,000 + Products from Denik

2nd Place - $2,500 + Products from Denik

3rd Place - $1,000

LIQUITEX EMERGING ARTIST PRIZE

1st Place - $1,500* of Liquitex product

2nd Place - $1,000* of Liquitex product

3rd Place - $500* of Liquitex product

*equal to current MSRP at the time of prize announcement

All finalists will be featured on the Delusional website and select entries will be promoted on the gallery’s extensive social media networks. Artists will also receive extensive worldwide promotion in the form of email marketing, press release announcements, and widespread social media marketing. 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1 image for each 2D work submitted, 2 images for each 3D work submitted.

Work details must include: Work Title, Year, Medium, Dimensions, and Retail Price

**Size limit: Paintings – 5 x 5 feet; Sculptures – 5 x 4 feet

High resolution images need to be saved in the following format: Last Name-First Name-Work Title-Year.jpeg

Pricing: $45 for 3 submissions ($10 for each additional submission)

All submitted artworks must be for sale (priced at a reasonable market rate) and available to be exhibited from August 1 – 25, 2018. When an artwork is sold, Jonathan LeVine Projects will earn a commission of fifty percent (50%) of the net proceeds from the sale.

The deadline to apply to the Delusional Art Competition is May 20, 2018.

All submitted artworks must be for sale (priced at a reasonable market rate) and available to be exhibited from August 1 – 25, 2018. When an artwork is sold, Jonathan LeVine Projects will earn a commission of fifty percent (50%) of the net proceeds from the sale.

To successfully submit your work under our student category, you must be able to provide proof of current student status at the time of submission. In order to do so, we require you to upload proof of a student ID. If your academic institution does not provide students with IDs, then please upload similar proof. For example a copy of your transcript or report card. We also ask that you identify the name of the current academic institution you belong to. Furthermore, please include if you are a high school student, an undergraduate student, a postgraduate student or other. Please note that any submitters who do not upload valid proof of current student status will not be entered into the Delusional Art Competition or be eligible for a refund.
